Link Building with very dirty [FREE] SEO Tools

Ever wished for a helping hand like the one in Adam’s family that can make your work all easier, I have … a many times. I literally wish some times to get a helping hand especially while doing link-building process.  Well it is hidden to no one that link building is a hard-hitting area, where it’s not easy to find and acquire high quality links (lots of links) for a website. I know the pain and I have been through it for long. So, I finally decided to steal that helping hand from the Adams’ in order to make the link building process easier for me.

Ofcourse that planned didn’t work well, 😉 so I researched the internet and talked to many influencers, and guess what. I got my hands on some really epic tools that have increased my work speed effectively.  Hold on tight as I am about to reveal these secret weapons of mine that can actually 4x your productivity level while wearing white hat.

OH and I forgot to mention, these all are FREE! So keep reading

I am not sure how you start your link building process for a new project that comes in but, when it comes to me checking the rankings in major search engines is my first step.

Rankerizer is a Free Rank tracking tool that allows user to track what keywords are ranking well and what are the potential keywords that can give better organic traffic and conversions. The best thing that I found out about this tool is that it maintains the history of rankings as well as links that are pointing to a specific page of the website.

Keyword SPY is actually a paid tool but it contains a free limited version as well that can tell you a lot about your competitors and how they are performing in the organic and paid world. This data can help you determine the level of competition and how much work is needed to be done in order to beat competitors in the organic world.

Link Detective is kind of a free tool that allows you to sort your links in to different categories so that you can easily know how your link profile is divided in to profile links, blogs, directories and much more. You can download the link CSV of any of your competitor and dig up some easily acquirable links from them.

The reason why I said, ‘kind of FREE’ is because you need to have a CSV downloaded from OSE, which itself is a paid tool.

Link Prospector by Citation Labs is not really a free tool but 1 free credit can actually tell you how important it is to invest in this tool. Simple and effective are the major keywords for this tool. All you have to do is to select your report type, which can be Guest Posting, Coming, Giveaways, content promotion and a lot more for 5 most targeted keywords related to your campaign.

It will ask you for some time and good news will be sent directly in to your inbox. Open your email and all you will find tons of valuable places where you can submit your link.

Ontolo Link Building Query Generator is simple yet effective tool that will give you different variations of queries to find link prospects.  This way you can explore on different queries and draft a long list of potential websites where you can get links.

Blog Dash is a simple blogger outreach website, nothing fancy about it until you have some crazy ideas in your bucket. On a normal scale it’s a website where you can engage and find bloggers to get some awesome guest blogging opportunities but if you are creative enough then launching a writing contest that offer may be $200 or more can help you attain tons and I literally means tons of links that Google will love.

I am a strong believer of building high quality links through social media. Social Media actually allows you to push the limitations for the link building  to no extent. Here are few tools that can help you find the target prospects.  So you can follow and engage with them to build quality relationship that will eventually give you links.

Follower Wonk allows you to sign in using your twitter account, type in your keyword and you will have the list of people related to your keyword. Get in to the data and select the influencers you think are most important or follow the one that contains real value.

Engagio track all your conversations and help you build a meaning full relationship with the prospects and influencers in your industry. Just connect all your accounts and this tool will help you assembles all your connection and past tête-à-tête at one place so that you can keep a history of your old conversations and never miss even a single email or tweet.

May be you are in a situation when you have emailed to tons of prospects and many of them also replied back to you. When all you are doing is too much that one cannot handle then immediate problem that arises is how to remember things?

Followup.cc allows you to compile and memorize stuff. You can schedule your emails, everyday’s to-do list and keep a track of every big and small task that comes your way.

Link Building is a science cum art that cannot be fulfilled by just creating some blog comment links pointing to the website. Effective link building is all about collecting tons of data in hand. These tools can help you fasten your process of collecting data and let you abbreviate your work from days into hours.

The best free link building tool is still Google. I use Google search for most blogger outreach campaigns.
This way you can already see who ranks well and thus has a worthwhile place to be mentioned on.
