SEO is neither Technical nor Logical

SEO has been widely misunderstood and suffered criticism for very long. Like many of you this is pretty common to me that developers and designers in my circle come to me and ask why companies are paying more to SEOs as compared to developers and designers, when all SEO have to do is just submissions and may be some Meta data changes. As I am not a business owner so my take on the salary part will be personal but I believe this is too stupid to say that SEO is just copy paste and there is no logical, creative and technical involvement in it.

Google Penalties! Who is responsible?

For the last few months, all I am reading about in the SEO sphere is “Google penalties” and sites that have been turned down due to low quality, SPAMMY links and other type of such activities that somehow manipulated the search results! The question that pops up in my mind now is, why there are tons of folks building low quality SPAMMY links when it is almost a year to the 1st Panda update and I believe it changed the way SEO was done entirely, didn’t it?
